Feed sack scrap quilt |
Our speaker on June 19th was Sally Stott, with her collection of Depression Era Quilts. It was a very informative evening with many of the items being passed around for a closer look.
Feed sacks were used as a source of fabric in the 20's and 30's and many were printed in pretty colours and even embroidery designs.
The Suffolk Puff quilt was amazing, so much work and with the effect of a lacy curtain more than a quilt to keep you warm.
