NORTHAMPTONSHIRE ROSE

This has been the County emblem since 1665

Motto - ROSA CONCORDIA SIGNUM

Granted in August 1936 the rose, emblem of harmony.

HAMTUNE comes from HAMM TUN the old Saxon name for Northampton. Northampton stands on the River Nene.
