Feb 21st meeting

Well Hamtune have done it again, what a superb evening we had , Janet Cook was our speaker, a lady with real personality and humour. Her quilts are just indescribable and she loves mosiac which involves thousands of pieces which to me means having the patience of a saint, also she has a story to tell with each quilt. It was interesting to see all the small journal quilts she has done because as she said there does come a time when you have no more wall space and spare beds. Also the dolls were amusing so a most enjoyable evening.
The number of members and visitors totalled 43 with some of the visitors from Danetree Quilters so hopefully they enjoyed the evening. I would like to say Thankyou to Ann Harris who organises our speakers and well done getting Janet at quite short notice.
Also would like to say that there are still 6 spaces available on the Pat Archibald wokshop "Sailing Home" on Wednesday May 16th at Parklands community centre 10am - 4.30pm cost £20. I did the workshop with her when she was here last year and it was thoroughly enjoyable day.
