3rd April Meeting

Ann Harris demonstration

Our meeting this week was a "Sit and Sew" with a demonstration by Ann Harris our Meeting organiser.
What an informative demonstration Ann had prepared for us.
In small groups we were shown how to make perfect bias stems, using freezer paper and starch, down at an 1/8th of an inch wide.
Also we were shown how to mark and use double layers of freezer paper, then with the aid of a paintbrush and starch prepare applique shapes for either needle turn or machine.

Everyone seemed to come away having learnt something new.. thank you Ann.

Our next meeting with Linda Chevin Hall will teach us how to design a quilt. Mark the date [April 17th in your diary].
