I think our meeting last Tuesday was another smash hit. Our speaker, back for the second year, was Pat Archibald. Pat's talk this time was titled Inspirations of India, definately an inspirational talk with slides of her tour in India and quilts she has since made relating to this tour. Once again we had a good turnout of members and I think everyone was just so absorbed in Pat's talk and then after to go look, and touch, the items she had brought back. Last year I did the workshop with Pat at Hamtune and am so looking forward to the next one tomorrow.
Thanks to Linda for doing the raffle and Hilary for bringing the books and doing the library. Hamtune Quilters is a very friendly group, we have around 50 members and by everyone supporting the meetings and raffle this means we can keep the membership fee low and also allows us to have several speakers a year which I know we all enjoy. There is no meeting on the 5th June (we cannot have th hall) so the next one is 19th June when once again we have a speaker, Sally Stott - Depression Era Quilts which I know will be most in interesting so hope to see you all there.
Would just like to say we have one member, who is also a committee member, who always loses her raffle tickets, no change on Tuesday but she found them this time just prior to her number being called!!

No names but see if you can spot her in the photos.....

  1. Yes it was a good evening - Poor Pat looked like a contortionist. Wednesday was an excellent Workshop and anyone who missed it should try to catch it next time. Thank you Ann for arranging it and am glad you found your raffle tickets ;o).
