Hamtune Quilters celebrated their 7th birthday with a delicious cake made by member Jenny Slater, based on a quilt she had seen at Uttoxeter Quilt Show.
A couple of mystery prizes were given as door prizes, Ginette and Sue won the bundles of FQ's.
As a group we have made a number of exchanges with Northampton Quilters in Australia and some of the postcards received were on show.
Books from our library that are no longer needed were sold to make room for new stock.
Joan Mason gave us a short talk on the work of Project Linus and showed some of the quilts that had been donated. Last year 605 quilts were made by local groups and donated to a diverse group of organisations. Teenage mums and their babies, child and adolescent bereavement service, neo-natal wards, refuges, Salvation army, women's aid etc etc..
Hamtune Quilters have so far donated 25 quilts this year. If you would like to donate a quilt please bring it along to one of our meetings.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE
